The Ghan Expedition
One of the great train journeys of the world, travel on The Ghan Expedition from Darwin to Adelaide on this 4 day/3 night journey. The difference between The Ghan and The Ghan Expedition is the addition of a day and night on the Ghan Expedition itinerary which allows a stop at the world-famous opal mining town of Cooper Pedy.
With all the highlights of The Ghan, the Ghan Expedition offers guests the chance to add Coober Pedy to their itinerary where you can explore this remote town famous around the world for its opals and below ground residences known as “dugouts”.
