Cunard are working directly with the highest level of authority to ensure they adopt best practices in the management of Covid-19.
The health and wellbeing of you, and crew, partners and the communities Cunard serve is of utmost importance. They are working directly with the relevant public health agencies at the highest level, as well as EU Healthy GateWays and CLIA, the governing body for the cruise industry.

Through Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise company, Cunard are leading the conversation on COVID-19 and the ‘new normal’.
In partnership with the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the WTTC/Carnival Corporation Global Science Summit on COVID-19 will take place on 28 July. This virtual scientific summit, which is open to the public, will share the latest scientific knowledge and evidence-based best practices related to prevention, detection, treatment and mitigation of COVID-19.

The joint summit will see global tourism leaders, WTTC Members, government agencies, destination partners, trade and private businesses share the very latest science and medical evidence that can be used to inform practical, adaptable and science-based solutions for mitigating and living with COVID-19.

Cunard will ensure that every aspect of a holiday is reviewed.
Cunard have for years had in place many of the protocols now considered advisable for other social gathering venues, such as hand-sanitising stations and rigorous cleaning and disinfecting procedures. They also have for years gone beyond those protocols by asking guests to complete a health declaration form and having a comprehensive medical facility onboard each ship providing 24/7 medical care and treatment.

As today’s advice evolves, whilst it’s too early to confirm what the exact implications for their ships’ operations and guest experience will be when we resume sailing, they will be reviewing every aspect of a holiday with Cunard. This will include looking at enhanced cleaning protocols, as well as measures such as screening guests before they board; implementing social distancing at levels right for the time we return, and working out how this will impact crew, guests, suppliers – and those at the ports we visit.

Cunard offer a flexible transfer policy.


In this uncertain environment, Cunard understand that you may appreciate some added flexibility.
Prior to the balance due date you can:
- Transfer your booking to any Cunard voyage currently on sale
- Transfer your booking to a voyage of higher or lower value
- Transfer your booking an unlimited number of times
- Transfer your bookings free of charge
*This policy may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Extended Payment Dates


As of 14 July 2020, for all voyages sailing on or before 31 March 2021, final payment is now due 30 days before sailing. This is much closer to sailing than our usual final payment due dates whch are between 120 and 90 days.
