Australian Open 2018

I had the pleasure of hosting 138 of our guests on the P&O Pacific Eden which departed Sydney on the 17^th January 2018. The cruise was specifically based around the Australian Open Tennis tournament which cruised down to Melbourne and was docked Friday the 19^th and Saturday the 20^th with ground pass tickets included to the tennis as part of the cruise fare for both days as well as buses running between the ship and Melbourne Park precinct throughout the day and evening.

On our way down to Melbourne P&O incorporated tennis themed events such as a Q&A with tennis legend Ken Rosewell as well as broadcasting the days tennis throughout the ship.

As part of ecruising.travel’s exclusive package we included day session tickets on Friday the 19^th to Rod Laver Arena taking in the main matches of the day. It proved a popular addition as our guests were able to watch the matches in the comfort of fully shaded seats on a 40 degree day! The Australian Open is on many people’s bucket list and the convenience and great value of the cruise proved a popular choice for our guests.
