Barcelona to Lisbon

The infectious high spirits of Barcelona create a sunny mood for this cruise around Spain to Portugal, with the added advantage of a quick hop to North Africa along the way. First, we head to the Balearic Island of Mallorca, calling at Palma, the elegant capital of this destination favored for beach vacations. Then we return to the mainland to beautiful Alicante for more golden beaches and a historic old town. Our next stop, Cartagena, is home to magnificent Roman ruins and has a reputation as a foodie hotspot – you’ll have fun finding out why. Enjoy more historical treasures in Malaga and then Gibraltar, British territory on Iberian soil, before we end our Spanish sojourn in Cadiz, one of Europe's oldest cities. African shores beckon next, where we browse the souks of Casablanca and then Tangier for souvenirs before we head northwest to the Portuguese capital Lisbon, our final destination.
